This bonus room turned playroom is an extension of the rest of the family home.
This playroom not only functions as a play space, but also second living room & guest sleeping quarters. In keeping with the home's existing aesthetic, we opted for a more neutral palette; black and white with warm woods, natural elements & plants.
Limiting brightly coloured plastic toys and opting for more natural objects and woven baskets for storage keeps with the environmentally mindful nature of this home. Eclectic pieces from travels are thoughtfully placed throughout. Complete with kids kitchen & role play area.
Use those dried out markers and get outdoors on a nice winter day for this simple up-cycled activity!
Bonus for parents? Using washable markers instead of food colouring keeps coats & winter accessories from getting stained & wrecked!
Materials:
drinking glass / cup with water
dried out markers
spray bottles
» dip | swish | swirl | let sit
» pour into spray bottles
» work on those fine motor muscles & spray away!
